    What constitutes notes on Instagram?

The platform places Instagram Notes at the top of your DM inbox for 24 hours, a short, concise text-based update of up to 60 characters. The purpose of it is to allow you to share a thought that has been on your mind. You can include anything short and crisp that you want people to know! Asking questions or making quick announcements with mutual followers or Close Friends can be done through them. A short video or music can also be added. Replies come in as your inbox, and unlike comments on posts, they are only visible to you when you open their chats.

Who can I share Instagram notes with?

    Followers you follow back

The audience will be broader and there will be more people in it. Anyone who follows your account and follows you back is included. It’s a great choice for things that aren’t personal or personalized.

    Close Friends

Sharing can be more private through this option. Your notes can only be viewed by the specific individuals you added to your ‘Close Friends’ list. This is an excellent way to share more personal thoughts or inside jokes with your friends, and anything that you think would work with your friends. The limit is up to you!
