Biography
Pune, Maharashtra is where Aditi Mittal came into being on November 12, 1987. Her early years or family are not well-known.
She was a student at St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s School in Pune. After graduating from high school, she moved to the UK to pursue a degree in Dramatic Literature at Wroxton College. She enrolled at Fairleigh Dickinson University to pursue a degree in Communication and Literature. She returned to India after spending some time in the UK and has now established herself as one of the few female stand-up comedians.

Career
In North and West India, Mittal is well-known as one of the most well-known names in the Indian English stand-up comedy scene. She was among the first 5 Indians to be featured in a stand-up show called Local Heroes that was exclusive to Indians, organized by the U.K-based ‘The Comedy Store’ in 2009. Today, she is a regular at Canvas Laugh Factory, Comedy Store Mumbai and has performed at venues and humor festivals across the country, clubs in UK and at Laugh Factory, Los Angeles.
Mittal was given an invitation by the BBC to attend the prestigious 100 Women Conference in London in 2013. At the Canvas Laugh Factory in Mumbai, she first presented her solo show ‘Things They Won’t Let Me Say’ in July 2013. Dr. Mrs. Lutchuke, a sex therapist, and Dolly Khurana, a Bollywood star who is considered “thinking”, will be making an appearance on the tour.
TV shows with Cyrus Broacha and Jay Hind featured Aditi in them. She was a participant in a U.S. documentary titled ‘Stand-Up Planet’, which featured comedians from various countries. Kaneez Surka, a comedian, accused her of sexual harassment in 2018 by stating that Mittal had forcefully kissed her on the mouth. Surka’s public posting of what had happened on Twitter was prompted by Mittal’s denunciation of the accusation. Mittal stated that she gave the improv artiste at the open mic a peck on the lips ‘as a joke as part of the act’ in October 2018. After realizing the discomfort she caused, she apologized to Surka later on. James May’s Our Man in India in 2024 saw Mittal make an appearance.
